Hotel maps
Your convention pack will contain maps and information about the con hotel, but if you want to
start finding out and planning early, we're putting up the floor plans and room information here, too:
Room information
- Ops: Ops is the place to go if you need help with any convention-related problems. Disabled access: The accessible toilets on the ground floor are meant for those who genuinely need them. Newbury 1 can be accessed via the ramp in the Brasserie. Newbury 2 is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. The lifts behind the County Suite/Royal A are larger and therefore better suited for scooters than those near the Brasserie/Connaught.
- Drink: Real Ale is sold in the Atrium. Drinks are also available from Henleys Bar in the evening, and in the Polo Bar (but not at convention prices).
- Food: Breakfast is served in the Brasserie and Newbury 1&2. The lunch and dinner buffet meals are served in Newbury 1. The Brasserie opens as a restaurant in the evening. Bar food is sold in the Atrium.
- Room Numbers: Some of the rooms now have numbers instead of names. The first digit indicates which floor the room is on (NB. the Ground Floor is floor number 1 - the hotel doesn't have a first floor.) The Second Floor (one level up from the Ground Floor!) only contains bedrooms and a set of toilets that are accessed via the stairs that climb from the Hotel Lobby to the Atrium.

Room numbers and their old names
The room numbers listed above were introduced by the hotel only recently. If you attended Orbital, the 2008 Eastercon, you may remember the rooms all having names, and you'll still see those names referred to in some places. This table shows you the translation between the old room names, and the new numbers/names.
